How Mississauga's metal shops show up online
47%
We read the websites of 158 metal shops in Mississauga, part of our study of 2,095 shops in 23 Canadian cities. Here is what they show buyers, and how Mississauga compares.
What buyers in Mississauga see
Mississauga leans on machining: 50% of its shops offer it, one of the three highest shares in the study. Yet 37 of 79 machine shops name none of their machines, the second highest share of the 23 cities, and the machine list is how an engineer tells whether a part will fit. Many shops say they help with drawings (63%) or make prototypes (33%), but 73% don't say whether they take a small or one-off job.

Where these numbers come from
For Mississauga, Metal Shop Guide covers the City of Mississauga and lists 160 shops. 158 have a website of their own, and those are the shops we read, as of October 28, 2026. “Not shown” means we didn't find it on the pages we read. A blind check of 40 shops suggests each share is a few points high.
One shop is 0.6% of the Mississauga total, so small gaps can be chance.
